About 12 explosions were heard at the Zaporizhzhia NPP
In the evening of November 19 and the morning of November 20, IAEA experts recorded explosions on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
The International Atomic Energy Agency reports about it.
The experts at the ZNPP noted that, presumably, shelling has been resumed near and on the territory of the nuclear power plant. They added that the damage was not critical to nuclear safety.
As a result, overpasses of communication with special corps, storage tanks of chemically desalinated water, purge system of steam generators, auxiliary systems of one of the two general station diesel engines, and other equipment of the station infrastructure were damaged.
Thus, the Russians disabled the infrastructure necessary for the launch of power units 5 and 6 and the restoration of electricity production by the Zaporizhzhia NPP for the needs of Ukraine.
