A new supply base for the Russian military appears in the temporarily occupied Qirim

The Planet Labs satellite recorded a Russian supply base on the territory of the temporarily occupied village of Shyroke near Aqmescit (Simferopol).
It includes barracks and hundreds of trucks, off-road vehicles and tankers transporting fuel. Skhemy journalists found that the deployment of the base began in March 2023. The site used to be a farm.
Dozens of trucks and tankers transporting fuel were also spotted by the satellite in the second area of the Shyroke village. Earlier, back in 2022, there was also equipment in this area, but in smaller numbers and not military.
Skhemy also managed to identify the unit that was stationed in Shyroke. This is the 101st separate logistics brigade, and the military unit's location is the city of Ussuriysk.
The journalists contacted one of the Russian soldiers, 26-year-old Kirill Bishkov, who had previously been included in the Myrotvorets database. He confirmed that he was serving in the 101st Brigade and was indeed in Qirim (Crimea).
