A monument to Hryhorii Skovoroda was erected in the center of Washington

In Ukraine House the sculpture was opened to the 300th anniversary of Skovoroda.

The monument was created in 1992 by American sculptor Mark Rhodes. The artist was fascinated by Skovoroda's ideas, and today he promotes the creative path of the Ukrainian philosopher through his art.
