Portugal opposed the ban on Russians entering the EU

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal reported that the country will participate in the discussion of this issue at the European level, "contributing to the development of a unified position of the EU member states."

"Portugal considers that the fundamental objective of the sanctions regime should be to punish the Russian military machine and not the Russian people," the Portuguese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
