Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Unity is not only the unification of two shores, but the unity of millions of people
On January 22, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Unity. On January 22, the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic signed an act of unification. For the first time, a significant part of Ukrainians was united in one nation-state.
Speaking about the signing of the Unification Act, the President said that this event points to two wisdoms.
The first is "if we do not stop fighting, sooner or later a unified and independent state will be restored."
The second is "if we do not achieve true unity, independence will be lost."
The President believes that Ukrainians have always known about the first wisdom. And after the start of the full-scale invasion, they proved that they had learned the second one as well.
"This has become a new revival of our Ukrainian unity. And it's not just the unification of the two shores. This is the unity of millions of people," concluded Zelenskyy.
