Ukraine promises to withdraw its WTO claim against Slovakia and lift the ban on imports of Slovak products
Slovakia and Ukraine have agreed to lift the embargo on Ukrainian agricultural products.
This was reported by Kristína Juričková from the Communication Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic, TASR reports.
To this end, the countries agreed to launch a "grain trade system based on the issuance and control of licences".
The Ministry of Agriculture of Slovakia states that the ban on imports of Ukrainian products will remain in force until the system is fully launched and tested.
Ukraine, for its part, has promised to withdraw its WTO claim against Slovakia and lift the ban on imports of Slovak products.
It will be recalled that Slovakia, along with Poland and Hungary, imposed a national ban on imports of Ukrainian grain after the European Commission lifted a similar ban on September 15.
In response, Ukraine filed a lawsuit with the World Trade Organisation against these three countries.
