Slovakia extends ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine for an indefinite period

The Government of Slovakia, headed by Robert Fico, has extended the ban on imports of agricultural products and food from Ukraine or of Ukrainian origin for an indefinite period.

SITA reports.

The government has also expanded the list of products. Initially, the ban applied to wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds, and now the 14 products include honey, malt, sugar, wheat flour, barley, wheat bran and other products.

The Slovak government called this decision a reaction to the lack of a systematic pan-European solution.
