Slovak President says country should continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine
Slovakian President Zuzana Čaputová has denied claims that she opposed the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine.
On her Facebook page, Čaputová wrote that the country should continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, but she respects the results of the parliamentary elections and the negative view of the party leading the coalition negotiations on the transfer of military aid to Ukraine.
"Any Slovak administration should understand that this (transfer of military equipment - ed.) concerns the security of Ukraine as much as Slovakia's own security," she added.
The Slovak media outlet RTV writes that Čaputová said that she was not the official making the decision on whether or not to provide assistance.
