Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group shoots two people in the Sumy region bordering Russia to the north
Sumy, Ukraine (Svidomi) — A Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group shot dead a civilian man and woman in the Khotin community, Sumy region, which borders Russia to the north, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reports.
The victims were a brother and sister whose house is located in the village of Andriivka, 5 kilometres from the Russian border.
"Once again, I appeal to the residents of the 5-kilometre zone to evacuate. This process has been going on for months, and we have been assisting at every stage. Russian terrorists continue to kill civilians. By evacuating from the dangerous areas, you will save your lives," urged the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh.
The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war.
It will be recalled that on January 11, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group shot dead a Ukrainian civilian in the Sumy region 500 metres from the border.
