Kyiv police say information about Dubinskyi's beating has not been confirmed

The Kyiv police have said that the information about the beating of MP Oleksandr Dubinskyi, who is suspected of treason, has not been confirmed.

This is stated in a police statement.

Law enforcers received a report from Dubinskyi's lawyer that the MP had been injured in a pre-trial detention centre for two days.

They say that the results of the inspection and forensic examination did not confirm the information about the beating.

It will be recalled that on December 2, MP Oleksandr Dubinskyi, who is in custody in the Kyiv pre-trial detention facility (SIZO), reported being beaten. He was allegedly diagnosed with multiple bruises and a suspected rib fracture.

Therefore, Dubinskyi demanded that Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska, Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin and Head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko come to see him. The lawyers asked the MP to be transferred to the SBU pre-trial detention centre for his safety.
