He is charged with alleged participation in the volunteer battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan, which Russians consider a terrorist organisation.

Human rights activists note that the charges in the case are based on the testimony of the so-called "secret witnesses" and on the conclusion of the so-called "experts" who cooperate with the Russian security forces.
