EU Council approves decision to cap Russian oil price at $60 per barrel
The restriction was set in close cooperation with the Price Cap Coalition. It will take effect from December 5, 2022.
The price cap on Russian oil will limit price spikes caused by extraordinary market conditions and sharply reduce the revenues Russia receives from oil.
