An explosion rang out at the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid

An employee of the embassy was injured and admitted to the local Hospital Nuestra Señora de América. The explosion took place after the employee opened a letter containing an explosive device.

The Spanish police activated the anti-terrorist protocol and surrounded the embassy’s area. Special forces also arrived at the place to dispose of the explosives.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, called on the Spanish authorities to take all measures to investigate the attack on the embassy.
