Zelenskyy addresses Stoltenberg with a proposal to establish a NATO-Ukraine Council to overcome the grain crisis
In a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the issue of the grain corridor.
The President of Ukraine announced this in his evening address.
Zelenskyy proposed to Stoltenberg to establish a NATO-Ukraine Council for crisis consultations on the grain initiative.
"I have addressed Jens [Stoltenberg] with a proposal to immediately convene such a Council for relevant crisis consultations. The meeting will take place in the coming days," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Russia withdrew from the Black Sea Initiative on July 17, 2023. After that, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to UN Secretary-General Guterres and Turkish President Erdoğan to extend the agreement in a trilateral format.
On July 21, following the meeting, the President of Ukraine instructed Zaluzhnyy, Neiizhpapa and Kubrakov to develop a set of actions to extend the grain corridor. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to develop "similar diplomatic steps".
