"We know for certain about 19905 deported Ukrainian children" — Zelenskyy

On the occasion of the International Day of Children — Innocent Victims of Aggression, the President of Ukraine cited data on Ukrainian children in the context of the war: at least 485 were killed, about 20,000 were deported, and 371 children were returned. 

He stated this in his evening address. 

"The identities and fates of 485 dead children have been established, so this number is confirmed. At the same time, it is obvious that it is incomplete.

Unfortunately, the real number is higher. Every time we liberate Ukrainian land from Russian occupiers, we learn the terrible truth about the occupation, about how many people, how many children are buried in the occupied territory, in the graves of this war," the President said.

Moreover, the identities of 2,905 children deported by Russians have been established. However, according to the President, the total number is estimated at hundreds of thousands. 

At the same time, Ukraine has already managed to return 371 children from deportation.
