Ukrainian soldier shot dead after saying "Glory to Ukraine!" was a citizen of Moldova

The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed condolences to the family and friends of Oleksandr Matsiievskyi. The Republic of Moldova condemns his murder and states that this act can be qualified as a "war crime and a gross violation of international humanitarian law."

It will be recalled that the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the identity of the soldier who was shot after saying "Glory to Ukraine!" He is a sniper of the 163rd battalion of the 119th separate brigade of the Territorial Defence of the Chernihiv region, Oleksandr Matsiievskyi.
