Ukraine's Foreign Ministry summons Poland's ambassador over remarks made by Presidential Chancellery official

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has summoned Polish Ambassador Bartosz Cichocki over statements made by the head of the Presidential Office for International Policy, Marcin Przydacz.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleh Nikolenko.

Recently, Przydacz, commenting on the restrictions on imports of Ukrainian grain crops, said that "it would be worthwhile to start appreciating the role that Poland has played for Ukraine in recent months and years".

"During the meeting, we stressed that statements about the alleged ingratitude of Ukrainians for Poland's assistance are untrue and unacceptable. We are convinced that Ukrainian-Polish friendship is much deeper than political expediency," commented Nikolenko.

He added that no statements will prevent Ukrainians and Poles from "jointly winning peace and building a common European future".
