Ukraine will receive 42 F-16 fighter jets after training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a briefing with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
"Mark Rutte and I have agreed on the number of F-16s to be provided to Ukraine after the training of our pilots and engineers. 42 aircraft. And this is just the beginning," Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote.
Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rutte also said that the Netherlands and Denmark had pledged to provide Ukraine with 42 F-16 fighters.
"That is, the delivery of aircraft is necessary for training. Today, we can announce that the Netherlands and Denmark are committed to handing over F-16s to Ukraine when the conditions for such a transfer are met," Rutte said.
