Ukraine returns 207 people from Russian captivity

Another exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia has taken place

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this.

Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the National Police (privates, sergeants and officers) have returned to Ukraine. 

They include the defenders of Mariupol, the military who were at Azovstal, Zmiinyi Island, the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Kherson and Sumy directions, according to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Yermak.

"We return them no matter what. We remember everyone in captivity. Soldiers and civilians. We must return everyone. [Kyrylo] Budanov, [Andrii] Yermak, [Dmytro] Usov, [Vasyl] Maliuk, [Ihor] Klymenko are well done," Zelenskyy wrote.

Overall, Ukraine managed to return 3,035 Ukrainians from captivity. 

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that Ukraine had handed over 195 Russian prisoners of war as part of the exchange.
