Ukraine is aware of dozens of places in Belarus where Ukrainian children are being held

The Office of the Ombudsman is aware of dozens of places in Belarus where Ukrainian children are being held.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to Dmytro Lubinets.

"In terms of the number of places, we have (information about - ed.) dozens (of these places in Belarus - ed.)," he said.

Currently, the Office of the Ombudsman has no evidence that Belarusian families have started the process of adopting or taking Ukrainian children under temporary guardianship.

It will be recalled that in August, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus said that he would continue to help Russia deport Ukrainian children. The head of the Belarusian Red Cross Society admitted the organisation's involvement in the illegal deportation of children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
