Ukraine imposes sanctions on 40 individuals and 380 legal entities involved in the full-scale invasion

Russian torturers, diplomats, militants, and members of the ruling elite have been sanctioned — the decision of the National Security Council, enacted by the President of Ukraine.

The sanctions include:

• Russian torturers — for example, Russian soldier Ochur-Suge Mongush.

•Diplomats — for example, former Russian Ambassador to China Andrei Denisov.

• militants — for example, the head of the illegal armed group "Russian Imperial Legion" Denis Gariev.

• members of the ruling elite, such as Amina Kerimova, daughter of Suleiman Kerimov, a member of the Federation Council from Dagestan.

In addition, Ukraine has imposed sanctions on politicians from Mali who are under UN sanctions.

Sanctions were also imposed on citizens of Switzerland, Iran and Cyprus who helped Russians circumvent sanctions or sold them weapons. Their companies were also sanctioned.

A separate sanctions list targets Russian military-industrial enterprises. For example, Ukraine has imposed sanctions against the National Center for Laser Systems and Complexes, the Kovilkin Electromechanical Plant, or one of the research institutes of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences.
