Ukraine imposed sanctions on individuals involved in Russian nuclear energy

The list consists of 200 names.

This is evidenced by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, put into effect by the President.

The list includes Rosatom board members Kirill Komarov, Aleksandr Lokshyn, and Oleg Kryukov.

Sanctions were also imposed on the heads of enterprises belonging to Rosatom. For example, the rector of the Rosatom Technical Academy, Yuriy Seleznev, was sanctioned. Also on the list is Sergey Kotov, director of the Siberian Chemical Plant, which produces nuclear fuel. This also applies to Vladmir Razin, director of the Podolsk Machine Building Plant. This enterprise produces equipment for nuclear power plants.

There is one citizen of Ukraine on the list — collaborator Yurii Chernichuk, who was involved in attempts to connect Zaporizhzhia NPP to the Russian power grid.

In addition to energy workers, sanctions were also imposed against Yuriy Ushakov, who has been Putin's foreign policy advisor for 10 years.

Ukraine calls on its allies to impose similar sanctions on these individuals.
