Transit of Ukrainian grain to the Klaipėda port has been simplified

The decision to simplify the process was made at a meeting on October 3 by Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi and Ministers of Agriculture of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Lithuania Robert Telus and Kęstutis Navickas.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported this on its website.

Over the next two days, border control for all cargoes travelling to the port of Klaipėda in Lithuania will be moved from the Ukrainian-Polish border directly to the port itself. This procedure should speed up transit through Poland.

The Lithuanian and Polish ministers welcomed Solskyi's proposal to transfer sanitary, phytosanitary, and veterinary control and considered it a "constructive step."

It will be recalled that Ukraine and Poland recently discussed the licensing of Ukrainian agricultural products.
