Ukraine and Poland discussed licensing of Ukrainian agricultural products
Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine and Poland Mykola Solskyi and Robert Telus discussed the licensing of Ukrainian agricultural products.
Poland will analyse the licensing proposal, so the parties agreed to meet in a week to discuss the results of the review. During this time, the Polish government will discuss this issue and determine who will approve or disapprove the issuance of such licences.
The Polish side's position remains unchanged: grain from Ukraine cannot enter the Polish market. Poland also wants Ukraine to withdraw its complaint to the WTO regarding restrictions on agricultural exports to neighbouring European countries.
In the coming days, a trilateral meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania will also take place to discuss the transfer of veterinary control to the country of export destination to improve transit through Poland.
The Ukrainian side believes that a similar procedure should be agreed upon for the transit of agricultural products through Poland to Germany.
