The Ukrainian Air Force has not yet been able to confirm Russia's use of missiles from the DPRK. Experts are currently examining the wreckage

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot yet confirm the information released by the White House about Russia's use of missiles from North Korea. Experts are currently examining the missile debris.

This was stated by Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat.

"There was a statement from the United States. Therefore, experts will examine some of the wreckage, and then we can say whether this is a fact or not. I cannot confirm this yet," the spokesperson said.

Experts are currently examining the wreckage, but it will take time. For example, it will take several days to establish whether the Russians attacked with Iskander or S-300 missiles, as the missiles break up into small fragments.

On January 4, White House spokesperson John Kirby said that recently declassified intelligence showed that North Korea had provided Russia with launchers and several ballistic missiles.

On December 30, 2023, the Russians launched at least one North Korean ballistic missile at Ukraine. It hit an open field in the Zaporizhzhia region.

And on January 2, 2024, Russia launched a series of North Korean missiles at Ukraine, the consequences of which are still being assessed.
