The Norwegian energy company Equinor has completely withdrawn from the Russian market

Earlier, in May, the company announced its plans to exit four joint ventures with Russian oil company Rosneft and leave the oil field. According to representatives of Equinor, there are now "no assets or projects left" in Russia.

It is the first major Western oil company to fully exit Russia, as other majors such as ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, and TotalEnergies are still in the process of finalizing their exit from the Russian market.
