The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed 16 contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers of various types of UAVs

Ukraine seeks to increase its own drone production. For this purpose, the Ministry of Defense is simplifying the procedure for approving drones for service and increasing investments in the sector.
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced this.
The list of contracted drones includes reconnaissance, strike, transportation, and evacuation drones. In 2023, the ministry plans to spend ₴20 billion on drones.
Earlier, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov claimed that the ministry does not purchase civilian drones manufactured by DJI. He stated that Ukraine needs drones with a longer range and payload.
