The Lithuanian government orders internet service providers to block IP addresses that have access to Russian TV channels

The Lithuanian government's website says that the Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission supported this decision. This refers to Russian TV channels that are under EU sanctions.

The Lithuanian government said in a statement that access to the packages of the banned Russian TV channels is provided through the IP addresses of the servers used to access NTV, Channel One, Russia 1, Russia 24, and RTR Planet.

The decision to ban was made on March 8. Providers must eliminate access to IP addresses used to access these TV channels within five business days from the date this decision comes into force.
