The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence confirmed that the soldiers of the 128th Brigade were gathered in a yard in a village in the Zaporizhzhia region. All rules of disguise were ignored

Defence Minister Rustem Umierov made the announcement.

The investigation revealed that the soldiers had indeed been gathered in the yard of a house to be awarded. More than ten cars were parked nearby. At the same time, a Russian reconnaissance drone was in the sky, and it was spotted. The military was warned about the sector in which the UAV was operating.

An air raid alert was declared throughout the Zaporizhzhia region. A "missile alert" went off when the missile launch was detected. However, no centralised security measures were introduced at the award ceremony.

"The investigation into this case is ongoing. In particular, it is being conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation. All those responsible for this tragedy will be punished according to the law. I instruct the General Staff to check the implementation of security protocols in the units," Umierov added.

It will be recalled that according to the official data, 19 servicemen were killed as a result of the Russian attack on the 128th Brigade's military gathering.
