The draft state budget of Ukraine for 2023 provides that almost 50% of all funds will be allocated to the security and defence sector

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. 

In total, it is more than UAH 1.1 trillion. The money is to be spent on military salaries, army supplies, repairs and purchases of equipment and weapons.

"The budget for 2023 is a budget for victory. We are already honestly telling the society that the year will not be easy. War is very expensive," the Prime Minister said.
