The 11th Ramstein meeting takes place on April 21
Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Oleksii Reznikov, reports that more than 50 countries joined the meeting.
Reznikov met with US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.
The Defence Ministries of Ukraine and Estonia have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Oleksii Reznikov signed the document with his Estonian colleague Hanno Pevkur.
“We are deepening our cooperation on the basis of shared goals — peace and security for our countries and the entire continent. Estonia has been a staunch ally of Ukraine since the start of the russian invasion,” Ukraine’s Defence Minister writes.
During the "tank coalition" meeting, the Defence Ministries of Ukraine, Germany (Boris Pistorius), and Poland (Mariusz Błaszczak) signed the Letter of Intent for the establishment of a Maintenance and Service Center in Poland for Leopard 2 main battle tanks of Ukraine.
The Secretary-General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, gave the “green light” to the “close cooperation” between Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence and the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation.
This will include the National Procurement Review and "best-in-the-league advice" to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Oleksii Reznikov discussed additional ways to strengthen cooperation with New Zealand’s Defence Minister, Andrew Little.
Following the Ramstein, the US Secretary of Defence declared that the Ukrainian military would begin training in Germany in a few weeks with American M1 Abrams tanks.
