Special forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine landed on the shore of the temporarily occupied Qirim

It happened on the night of August 24 near the temporarily occupied Olenivka and Maiak.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine published a video from the scene to support their statement.

Olenivka and Maiak are located on Cape Tarkhankut, the westernmost point of the peninsula.

On the peninsula, the Ukrainian military unfurled the national flag, destroyed four Russian boats and killed 30 Russian soldiers. After that, the special forces left the scene without any losses. The Ukrainian Navy assisted in the operation.

Russian propaganda has not commented on the operation, but Telegram channels affiliated with Russian security forces confirm the battle.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that he was aware of the operation but was still waiting for detailed information from Kyrylo Budanov. The President confirmed that the Ukrainian military had suffered no losses.
