SpaceX restricts the use of Starlink to control drones in time of war — SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell

The SpaceX president noted that Starlink had provided the Ukrainian army with broadband to protect it from the Russian army, but "was never intended to be used as a weapon."
Shotwell was referring to reports that the Ukrainian military used the Starlink service to control drones to locate Russian positions, direct long-range fire, and drop bombs.
The use of Starlink with drones is outside the scope of the agreement between SpaceX and the Ukrainian government, Shotwell said, noting that the contract called for Starlink to be used for humanitarian purposes, such as
