Sofia City Hall in Bulgaria agrees to move the monument to the Soviet army

The final decision is up to the governor of the region.

Bulgarian public broadcasting reported this.

The City Hall proposes to move the monument from the city centre to the Museum of Socialist Art. This decision was supported by 41 out of 61 deputies.

Those who disagreed with the decision danced around the monument and threw eggs at the City Hall building.

The governor of the Sofia region has to make the final decision on whether to move the monument to the museum or repair it.
