Slovak protesters unblock Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhhorod checkpoint

On December 4, at 10 p.m., the protesters blocking trucks at the Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhhorod checkpoint stopped the rally.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

Truck traffic has been unblocked, but due to the blockade on the Polish border, the number of vehicles on the border with Slovakia has increased.

"As of the morning [5 December], 625 trucks are queuing in Slovakia towards Ukraine," the statement said.

On December 1, Slovak carriers blocked the border for Ukrainian trucks for the second time in support of Polish protesters, whose blockade has been in place since November 6.

To recap, Polish carriers blocked the border for Ukrainian trucks, demanding the cancellation of the so-called transport visa-free regime for Ukraine. Later, Polish farmers joined the blockade.
