Shelling in the Donetsk region leaves five dead and eleven wounded, including a child
On the night of June 21, the Russians attacked with X-59/X-69 guided missiles from tactical aircraft. Air defense shot down all the missiles in the Kirovohrad and Kherson regions. Nine regions of Ukraine came under fire during the day.
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians targeted 13 localities: the towns of Zalizne, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Mykolaivka, Toretsk, the villages of Hostre, Pivnichne, Shcherbynivka, and the villages of Maksymilianivka, Mykolaivka, Rozkishne, and Serhiivka. 26 residential buildings, critical infrastructure and cars were damaged. Five people were killed and 11 wounded, including a child born in 2009.
In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, 15 settlements came under Russian shelling: Lvovе, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Mykhailivka, Mykolaivka, Tiahynka, Bilozerka, Poniativka, Komyshany, Novotiahynka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Sadove, Havrylivka and the city of Kherson. Five private houses sustained damage. One person was killed and one was wounded.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east, the Russians shelled four settlements: Kruhliakivka, Borova, Ruski Tyshky, and Kupiansk. Residential buildings were damaged. One man received an injury.
Russians fired 324 times at the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022. Ten settlements were under fire: Novoandriyivtsi, Huliaipole, Malynivka, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Chervonodniprovka, Orikhiv, and Kopaniv. There were five reports of residential buildings being destroyed. No casualties were reported.
In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, settlements of the Kutsurub community came under Russian artillery fire. There were no casualties.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 16 times at the border areas and settlements of the region with 45 explosions recorded. The Khotіn, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velykа Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorod, Mykolaiv, Yunakivka, and Shalyhyne communities came under fire.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, southcentral Ukraine, the Russians attacked the Nikopol district, next to the temporary occupied Enerhodar, where Zaporizhzhia NPP is located. They hit the district center, as well as the Pokrovskе, Marhanets, and Myrovе communities. Residential and commercial buildings were damaged. At night, the Russian army shelled the Marhanets community and Nikopol. There were no casualties.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians fired with cannon artillery and mortars at the Stelmakhivka, Kuzemivka, Nevske and Makiivka.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled two border communities: Semenivka and Snovsk. They fired from a mortar and an FPV drone. In total, border guards recorded two explosions.
