Russians shelled the Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions over the past day
Donetsk region: Russians shelled Krasnohorivka and Avdiivka. An 84-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man were killed. Three other people were injured and hospitalised. Russian troops shelled Makiivka. A 75-year-old man died as a result of the shelling. His wife sustained a mild traumatic brain injury. She was evacuated to her relatives in the Donetsk region. A 60-year-old woman died as a result of artillery shelling of the village of Vodiane.
Sumy region: The Russian military fired 36 times at the border area. 163 explosions were recorded. The Krasnopillia, Khotin, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne, Putyvl, and Myropillia communities came under fire. A residential building and a water tower were damaged.
Kherson region: The Russian army shelled Sadove of the Kherson community. A 56-year-old local resident and a 20-year-old policeman were wounded. The policeman was hospitalised with a forearm injury and a mild traumatic brain injury. The Russians also hit Poniativka in the Dariivka community. A residential building was damaged.
Dnipropetrovsk region: Russians shelled Nikopol and the Marhanets community with heavy artillery. Residential buildings, outbuildings, cars, and power lines were damaged. The aftermath of the shelling of the Pokrovske community is being assessed.
Zaporizhzhia region: The Russian army fired a ballistic missile at the Zaporizhzhia district. No casualties were reported.
Kharkiv region: The Russian military shelled Vilkhuvatka in the Kupiansk district. Agricultural machinery was destroyed. Russians shelled a unit of the State Emergency Service in Kozacha Lopan. The windows of the building and the fire and rescue vehicle were damaged.
