Russians drop bombs on a bus in Sumy region: three civilians injured

On the night of October 6, Russia attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, an Iskander-K cruise missile, an X-59/69 guided missile, and 87 Shahed drones. 

The Air Force Command reported the downing of two missiles and 56 drones in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, and Kharkiv regions. Twenty-five UAVs lost radar contact in different regions of Ukraine due to electronic warfare countermeasures. Four UAVs remain in Ukrainian airspace, and combat operations continue.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 71 times at the communities of Mykolaivka, Khotin, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Richky, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesa, and Seredyna-Buda. Three civilians were wounded in the shelling of a bus. 

In the Zaporizhia region in the south, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians launched 396 attacks on the settlements: Levadne, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Tavriiske. Sixteen civilians were injured. There were 18 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure. There were no casualties.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Selydove, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Voznesenka, Novoolenivka, Novoselydivka, Odradne, Rivne, Rozlyv, Tykhonivka, and Trudove. Two civilians were killed, and eight others were injured. Thirty-nine residential buildings, a garage, three cars, six power lines, three gas pipelines, a household, and an outbuilding were damaged. 

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Stepanivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Dniprovske, Stanislav, Veletenske, Nadezhdivka, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Chervonyi Maiak, Mylove, Zmiivka, and Lvove. One civilian was killed, and 15 others were wounded. The shelling damaged residential areas, a multi-story building, six private houses, a gas pipeline, a warehouse, outbuildings, an ambulance, a bus, and private cars.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians attacked Novoosynove, Nyzhche Solone, Kindrashivka, Sobolivka, Senkove, and the Bezruke-Slatyne road. The shelling killed one civilian and wounded another. Four private houses, a garage, and a car were damaged. Four fires broke out in the open as a result of the shelling.

In the Odesa region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Odesa, a major seaport in the southwest of the country. One civilian was injured. The shelling damaged commercial equipment in a warehouse building, a truck, a gas pipeline, and a civilian cargo ship.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians attacked the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Pokrovsk, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, and the Synelnyky district. Two civilians were wounded in the shelling. Six private houses, an outbuilding, a greenhouse, two cars, and a tractor were damaged. A fire broke out in an open area.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians attacked the Kutsurub community. The regional military administration reports no casualties.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians attacked Bilohorivka, Balka Zhuravka, Makiivka, and Hrekivka with multiple rocket launchers, cannon artillery, and 50 drones. The regional military administration reported no casualties.
