Russians demand a bribe from residents of temporarily occupied Hola Prystan to leave the flooded area

Russians are creating artificial checkpoints, preventing people from leaving the temporarily occupied city. After receiving a bribe, they deport people.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

Hola Prystan is a town in the Dnipro Delta on the left bank of the river. On February 27, 2022, Russians occupied it.

As of June 7, the city was 85% flooded. On June 11, Russian security forces blocked the entry to the city allegedly due to quarantine, making it impossible to deliver aid to its residents.

Now, Russian security forces are demanding bribes for locals to leave. Having received the money, the Russians destroy people's documents and deport them to temporarily occupied Crimea and Russia.
