Russian Defense Ministry recognises death of two Russian colonels in the Bakhmut direction

Both were killed during Ukrainian counterattacks.

This is evidenced by the briefing of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Vyacheslav Makarov was the commander of the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army Corps. He allegedly died near the village of Ivanivske, west of Bakhmut.

The second one, Evgeniy Brovko, was the deputy commander of the 2nd Army Corps. He was killed in a different section of the Bakhmut direction, but the Russians did not say where exactly.

Since 2014, the 2nd Army Corps has been involved in the occupation of the Luhansk region under the guise of the illegal military formation "LPR."
