Russian children to be taught to fly drones at school from September 2023

Russian children will be taught to fly drones at school.

The Russian propaganda resource RIA Novosti reported this.

This initiative was put forward by the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy under the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. It was allegedly supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education of Russia.

Russian children will allegedly study "the types, characteristics, and general structure of UAVs, as well as reconnaissance of the area and ways to counter enemy UAVs."

Deputy Artem Sheykin stated that the purpose of such exercises is to "educate high school students to love their country and prepare them for service in the armed forces."
