Russia withdraws almost all its military from Belarus — State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

Recently, the number of Russian troops at training grounds in Belarus has been steadily decreasing. After the latest rotation, almost all Russian troops have been withdrawn.

Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said this at a press briefing.

"The situation on the border with Belarus remains under full control. On the other side of the border, we do not see the enemy having any required units to invade the territory of Ukraine," Demchenko added.

At the same time, the SBGSU does not rule out that Russia could send its units to Belarus again as part of a new rotation.

Currently, border guards do not record the movement of Russian mercenaries from private military companies in Belarus.

It will be recalled that on June 26, it was reported that Wagner PMC fighters might arrive in Belarus. On July 6, self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that neither Yevgeny Prigozhin nor the mercenaries were in the country.
