In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline, the Russian army carried out 2516 attacks on Pokrovsk, Ukrainsk, Novoekonomichne, Pivnichne, Shcherbynivka, Yampol, Burlatske, Illinka, Katerynivka, Nelipivka, Ostrivske, Pozdolne, and Stara Mykolaivka with guided aerial bombs and MLRS. Thirty-nine residential buildings, critical infrastructure, garages, and cars were damaged. Seven people were injured, and one person was killed.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske and Makiivka with artillery. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties. Evacuation from these settlements continues. Two people were evacuated on July 16.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine, the Russian army attacked Nikopol and the communities of Marhanets and Pokrovsk with artillery and attack drones. More than 20 private houses, a transport company, a shop, and solar panels were damaged. Minibuses, a car, power lines, and a gas pipeline were damaged. On the afternoon of July 16, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the village of Holinka in Nizhyn district. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.
In the Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022, the Russians shelled Burhunka, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, Shliakhove, Antonivka, Tomaryne, Mykhailivka, Inhulets, Stanislav, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Shyroka Balka, Komyshany, Tokarivka, Sadove and Kherson. On July 16, the Russians conducted a missile attack on the Korabelnyi neighbourhood of Kherson. A multi-storey building was damaged, and one person was injured. Shelling in other settlements damaged a preschool, commercial facilities, a cell site, seven multi-storey buildings, 19 private houses, hangars and private cars. Six people were wounded.
In the Sumy region, the Russians attacked the communities of Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnoillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Druzhba, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorod with mortars, attack drones, and artillery 28 times.
