Romania deploys 600 troops in the Danube Delta region
The Romanian army also sent 600 troops and radars to the Danube Delta area bordering Ukraine due to frequent drone attacks by Russians on Ukrainian ports.
This is reported by Digi24.
"We have deployed some radars, we have activated defences, and we have had discussions with our allied partners (NATO) to find solutions to resist Russian aggression," said Deputy Chief of Defence Staff Lieutenant General Gheorghiţă Vlad.
Asked whether Romania would use its anti-aircraft systems against Russian drones, General Deputy Chief of the Romanian Army said: "Depending on the level of the threat, we are ready to use all military power to defend Romanian territory."
It will be recalled that on September 8, Romania stepped up measures to protect the population in the area bordering Ukraine. On September 14, the Romanian Ministry of Defence tightened restrictions on flights near the border with the Odesa region.
