Reuters: Turkish cargo ship has hit a mine in the Black Sea
On October 5, the Turkish cargo ship Kafkametler hit a mine in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania.
Reuters reported this.
The ship sustained minor damage off the coast of Romania, but the crew was not injured. After the explosion, the ship dropped anchor to assess the damage and resumed sailing three hours later.
"We cannot confirm this information yet. We examined everything, there was no detonation, but the information does not correspond to reality," said the spokesman of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
It will be recalled that the British Foreign Ministry reported that Russia could use sea mines to destroy civilian ships in the Black Sea.
