Queues of locals wanting to leave at Rostov-on-Don railway station

On June 24, in the afternoon, many locals gathered at the Rostov railway station to leave the city.
This is evidenced by photos from the crowded platforms of the station.
Rostov-on-Don is a city in the Russian Federation located about 100 kilometres from the border with Ukraine. The city is home to the headquarters of Russia's Southern Military District, which is taking part in the full-scale invasion. On the morning of June 24, militants from the Wagner PMC, led by the company's owner Yevgeny Prigozhin, arrived in the city. They seized the headquarters and blocked a number of law enforcement buildings.
This caused panic in the city. Many locals wanted to leave the city, so there were queues at the railway station.
At the same time, local authorities claim that the station is operating as usual. Tickets are not sold for some of the routes that are blocked.
