Poland gathers a coalition of countries that will provide Ukraine with German Leopard 2 tanks

"Five days ago I announced the decision on Leopard tanks. One Leopard company is about 14 tanks. We have indeed decided to send them, but we hope and try to organize more support for Ukraine. There are a number of European countries that have these tanks. I hope that the allies will simply transfer a few dozen units, thanks to which at least an armored brigade will be formed," Duda said.

The President of Poland, in particular, expressed hope that Finland and Germany would join the initiative.

President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda also expressed hope that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz would make a decision on the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine: "I firmly believe that Chancellor Scholz will make this decision. And I have witnessed a very important turning point in the thinking and mentality of Germany".
