On the night of May 28, Russians attacked Ukraine with a record number of kamikaze drones, but air defense shot down most of them

Russians launched 54 Shahed-136/131 drones at Ukraine, 52 of which were shot down. Information about the damage, injuries, and deaths is still being established.
The Air Force Command reported this.
Most of the drones were aimed at Kyiv. More than 40 drones were destroyed in the airspace of the country’s capital. As a result of the falling debris, there are injured civilians and destruction in the Holosiivskyi, Pecherskyi, and Darnytskyi districts of the capital, but this information is still being clarified.
Air defense was also operating in the Kyiv region. The fall of drone debris caused minor damage: windows in a private house, a catering establishment, and a car were smashed. It also caused a fire in the forest. In several other places, grass litter was burning. A truck trailer also caught fire. Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading. There is no information about any deaths or injuries.
One of the two UAVs that were not shot down hit an infrastructure facility in the Zhytomyr region. No one was killed or injured.
Air defense forces shot down two drones in the Cherkasy region. The falling wreckage did not cause any damage, and no one was killed or injured.
One drone was also shot down in the Mykolaiv region.
