NAPC added Italian company Buzzi Unicem to the list of international war sponsors

The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption has included the Italian company Buzzi Unicem in the list of international sponsors of the war.

The press service of the NAPC reported this.

Buzzi Unicem is a global cement producer. The company operates in Russia through SLK Cement LLC or Buzzi Russia, which includes cement plants Sukholozhsktsement and Korkino, a terminal in Omsk, and the Tsemtrans transport company.

Buzzi Russia cooperates with the Russian Ministry of Defense and supplies its products to the largest state-controlled enterprises, such as Rosneft and Rosatom.

Between 2016 to 2021, the Russian division of Buzzi Unicem paid a total of €62 million in taxes and other mandatory payments to the Russian budget.

"For comparison, €62 million is the cost of 206 Tochka-U missiles — tactical ballistic missiles used by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of Ukraine," the report says.

Also, the subsidiary company SLK Cement sent supplies to the Russian artillery unit, which includes Buzzi employees.
