Language-learning flashcard app Promova updates its Ukrainian course

The updated version contains more cultural context.

This update was launched on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine and contains 48 bite-sized lessons. The course was developed by professional linguist and native Ukrainian speaker Olena Demydenko. She studied the best practices of teaching Ukrainian to English speakers.

The course starts with the Cyrillic alphabet and Ukrainian sounds, explained through their similarities and differences with English. It proceeds to cover the words most useful for everyday interactions. The course also includes flashcards that offer further insight into the Ukrainian cultural context.
